The Law Careers.Net awards set out to identify and praise those employers that do a great job in giving their trainees a flying start in the profession. These are the firms that tell the truth and play straight during the recruitment process, support and fairly assess trainees, and nurture their burgeoning careers.
On the evening Stuart was praised for with the following comments, “This person is an exceptional training principal and mentor, and is demonstrably committed, enthusiastic about and invested in the firm’s training programme and trainees. They are extremely approachable; if you have any type of query or difficulty, it will be taken seriously. They proactively seek feedback from trainees on what the firm might be able to do to help with their progression. They are also keen for trainees to socialise together informally and to build supportive relationships that will last beyond the training period.”
Forbes were also nominated for Best Trainer (Medium Regional Firm).
Matthew Broadbent, business development director of LCN, said: “The LCN awards are a real proving ground. With over 2,000 trainees and NQs surveyed, the awards paint a truly accurate picture of which firms do a great job in recruitment and training. The competition across every category is fierce.”
Stuart Penswick, Training Principal, comments, “I am honoured to have been recognised at the LCN Awards especially as this comes as a direct result of the comments of our current Trainee Solicitors and those who have recently qualified as Solicitors. Many of our Trainee Solicitors go on to have long careers at Forbes, a fact which speaks for itself.”
