Cheltenham Day 1 Feature Race – Champion Hurdle
In the wake of last year’s winner, Constitution Hill, being ruled out of this year’s event, the Champions Hurdle race will likely be much more competitive. Currently, the favourite is State Man, trained by Willie Mullins. We do not doubt that Willie Mullins will aim to improve the second-place result of last year and come home with the winning title. Although he ad a good shot, competition to look out for includes Irish Point, Lossiemouth, and Not So Sleepy.

With a commanding performance to win the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, Marine Nationale set the stage for an ideal festival debut. Willie Mullins El Fabiolo, another Irish winner, defeated Jonbon in the Arkle with relative ease. After an exciting finale in the Ultima, Corach Rambler prevailed, while Constitution Hill maintained his perfect record with a straightforward victory in the Champion Hurdle. Before young jockey Michael O’Sullivan rode his second winner of the day on board Jazzy Matty in the Boodles.
