Luxury Interior Designer Lindi Reynolds to Bring Her Expertise to the BIID Student Drawing Competition 2026 Judging Panel

Lindi Reynolds, the founder behind the award-winning luxury interior design practice Lindi Reynolds & Co, has been appointed as a judge for the British Institute of Interior Design Student Drawing Competition 2026, a prominent and long-running annual competition that plays an important role in identifying and celebrating the emerging generation of interior design talent across the United Kingdom.

The competition has built a well-deserved reputation as a meaningful annual platform for interior design students throughout the UK, giving those at the beginning of their careers the opportunity to present their technical and creative drawing abilities to a panel of respected industry professionals, receive meaningful feedback, and gain the kind of recognition that can prove instrumental at such an important stage of their development.

As a judge, Lindi Reynolds will bring careful consideration to each submission, assessing entries on their creativity, the degree of originality they display, the standard of their technical execution, and how effectively they succeed in communicating a design concept. The judging panel is scheduled to meet in London on 10th June 2026, and the winning entry will be publicly announced on 25th June.

Reynolds brings more than two decades of professional experience to this role, along with a professional heritage that bridges fine art, architecture and brand design to create a perspective that is both comprehensive and distinctively her own. Her career before establishing Lindi Reynolds & Co included a senior position at the WPP Fitch Communications Network, where she worked on projects for global brands and cultivated a thorough and nuanced understanding of visual identity and design communication. She is also the driving force behind The Artists Appreciation Initiative, which she founded as a dedicated platform for supporting British artists in the earlier stages of their professional lives.

Her selection for the judging panel reflects the influence and credibility she has accumulated within the interior design community, as well as the genuine personal investment she makes in encouraging and supporting the next generation of designers as they take their first professional steps.

Commenting on her role in the panel, Reynolds said: “I am truly honoured to be invited to judge the BIID Young Artists Drawing Competition later this year. Drawing is where everything begins — it is the most honest and immediate expression of creative thinking, and there is something deeply exciting about witnessing fresh talent in its early stages. As someone who has spent a career championing the role of art and creativity within design, this feels like a privilege and a responsibility I will relish in equal measure. I cannot wait to see what the next generation has to offer.”

Her work beyond her studio extends to initiatives that reflect a wider commitment to the design and arts communities, including planned charitable involvement with the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, which will sit alongside her continuing studio practice and personal creative work.

Submissions for the BIID Student Drawing Competition 2026 were welcomed from 12th March and will continue to be accepted until 14th May. A shortlist will be drawn from all eligible entries and those selected will be reviewed by the full judging panel during June.
