Awaab Comply Strengthens Team with Appointment of Housing Leader Danny Bird

LONDON, UK, June 9, 2026 – Awaab Comply has announced that housing and property safety specialist Danny Bird has joined the business as Strategic Advisor and Ambassador, reinforcing its commitment to helping the sector prepare for Awaab’s Law.

Danny will support awareness and understanding of the legislation among housing providers and landlords, helping organisations adapt to new compliance expectations. His responsibilities will include sharing industry knowledge, encouraging best practice and supporting improved responses to damp, mould and housing safety concerns.

As a highly experienced Repairs and Property Safety Consultant, Danny has built a career leading housing operations, managing assets and delivering organisational change. He has overseen large property services teams and transformation projects for major housing associations, driving improvements in service quality, compliance and resident satisfaction.

Danny is widely regarded as a leading commentator on damp and mould management, Awaab’s Law and HHSRS compliance. Through his work with six major housing providers, he has introduced effective damp and mould strategies that support regulatory compliance while improving outcomes for residents.

He also delivers specialist training programmes aimed at helping housing organisations embed lasting cultural and operational improvements.

Simon Redfearn, Owner of Redfearn Experts and Awaab Comply, said: “Danny brings a depth of experience that will be hugely valuable as housing providers prepare for the introduction of Awaab’s Law. His understanding of both strategy and frontline operations makes him uniquely placed to support the sector.

“Our goal is to provide organisations with the tools, knowledge and confidence they need to meet their obligations. Danny’s contribution will strengthen that mission.”

Danny Bird said: “The introduction of Awaab’s Law marks a positive step for housing standards and resident protection. While progress is already being made across the sector, there is still work to do in helping organisations understand how to implement the requirements effectively.

“I am excited to work with Awaab Comply to support knowledge sharing, practical learning and collaboration across the industry, ultimately helping to improve housing conditions for residents.”

This appointment forms part of Awaab Comply’s continued efforts to provide expert-led support, compliance solutions and educational resources ahead of the implementation of Awaab’s Law.
