Local Education Sites Raising Money for Water for Kids Charity

Local contract caterer, Mellors Catering Services together with Consett Academy and North Durham Academy have raised over £1000 for the national charity, Water for Kids during the last school year.

Mellors Catering Services is the nominated contract caterer for both academies and agreed that they would donate 5p for every bottle of still water sold to the academies chosen charity.

The Water for Kids charity helps young people have access to safe water for the first time and is holding a reception at the House of Commons in Westminster on Thursday 1 st December. Mellors Catering Services will be attending and presenting a cheque at the event to the charity to mark the 20 years they have been established.

Mellors Catering Services is a local family-run contract caterer operating in 180 Primary and Secondary Schools across the North of England. They are celebrating their 21st year of successful trading this year.
