A North West law firm has played a key role in helping a series of summer concerts go ahead featuring stars like Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Alfie Boe and Michael Ball.
The licensing team at Harrison Drury solicitors successfully secured a licence for concert promoters Cuffe and Taylor to hold two outdoor concerts at Walcot Hall in Shropshire.
Alfie Boe and Michael Ball performed together at the Georgian stately home on June 20 as part of their nationwide ‘Together Again’ tour, while Cliff Richard also played at the historic venue the following evening as part of his ‘Just Fabulous Rock ‘n Roll’ tour.
The team were also successful in allowing Cartmel Racecourse to increase its capacity to 20,000 people for a concert by Tom Jones on June 30. The Welsh artist returned to Cumbria after 50 years to perform a selection of hits on the course’s most popular race day.

Jonathan Garratt, managing director of Cartmel Racecourse, added: “By increasing capacity for Tom Jones we were able to reach an extra 2,000 people. Tom’s show was very well received by our racegoers and it showed the calibre of the concerts we are capable of hosting here.”
