Potential Unearthed delivers just what the doctor ordered

Chorley-based leadership and management training provider, Potential Unearthed, has recently delivered high quality leadership and management training to NHS employees from Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group.

The delegates achieved a prestigious ‘ILM Level 4 Award in Leadership & Management’ qualification, awarded via the City & Guilds London Institute.

The programme ran from September 2016 through until May and covered a total of five modules, which provide them with solid leadership skills and critical techniques for dealing with situations in the workplace. The course also benefits employers, with a focus on workplace based activity, by giving managers the tools to manage their own professional development.

Kamsa Khan, delegate and Practice Manager, commented: “I thoroughly enjoyed the programme and it has directly improved my ability to mentor and motivate staff. I would definitely recommend Potential Unearthed to anyone wishing to sharpen their professional skills.”

The modules included in the programme were:

  • Managing change
  • Creating a positive culture
  • Management communication
  • Motivating people in the workplace
  • Developing people

Mike Ode, owner and director of Potential Unearthed, said: “This fantastic group was eager to learn. The programme was a real challenge for those who haven’t previously completed any studies but I’m proud to say that they all passed the qualification with flying colours. The skills and knowledge gained will help them to become better managers within their respective Practices.”
