Training specialist launches open courses

Lancashire-based specialist Jigsaw Training is launching opportunities for individuals and employers to take advantage of its open courses for Facilities Management from January.

As a British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) approved centre, the Preston-based training company will embed the BIFM Level 3 Diploma in Facilities Management across 21 months of teaching which will include 15 workshops.

These will cover all standard areas including: introduction to FM, health and safety, relationship management, business continuity and disaster recovery, contract performance and management, procurement of supplies and services, people management, building management and sustainability and financial management.

James Blackhurst, managing director of Jigsaw Training, said: “These courses offer the individual the opportunities to add further qualifications and skills in this sector with all of the advantages this brings. We’re already seeing a lot of interest in these courses as a real pathway to improving opportunities for those involved.”

Learners will also be supported with a blended learning approach to consolidate the workshop delivery, with further 1-2-1 teaching available for those requiring functionals skills in English and maths.

The 1-2-1 teaching sessions and progress reviews are conducted at the learner’s place of work by a dedicated Jigsaw Training tutor and recorded using the dedicated Learner Management System (LMS).

In order to meet the demands of employers, the courses will initially be delivered to three regions starting with Manchester in January 2018, followed by Birmingham in March 2018 and London, also in March.
