RSM announces two senior promotions in Preston

Leading audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has promoted Karen Musgrave and Nicky Warburton to partner in the audit faculty in Preston.

Karen joined the firm as a trainee in 1996 and brings extensive audit, accounting and business advisory experience to her new role. She specialises in advising owner managed businesses and not for profit organisations including further education colleges and charities.

Nicky has over 20 years’ experience advising on audit and financial reporting matters and delivering effective training. She specialises in co-ordinating the technical quality of the firm’s national internal operational procedures.

The Preston appointments are among 11 RSM partner promotions across the UK, reflecting investment across the firm’s audit, tax and advisory practice.

Kevin Duffy, RSM said: “We’re an ambitious firm and attracting and developing talent is a central part of our strategy to be first-choice advisers to middle market leaders in the UK, which is why it’s great to see Karen and Nicky reaching partnership. Each promotion is testimony to their talent and our ongoing commitment to training and development.

“Both colleagues have played an active role in shaping our audit practice and in their new roles they will build on this momentum –  helping more clients to achieve their medium to long term strategic goals.”
