A popular Pendle nursery’s move to new purpose-built premises is getting a big thumbs up from children, parents and staff alike.
Pendle Court Day Nursery, formerly Lomeshaye Village Day Nursery, has opened its doors in Pendle Court, Westfield, Nelson following a £1.8m programme of works.
The 15,000 sq ft single storey premises provides the perfect setting for the many children in their care, ranging from the age of three months right up to pre-school.
Nursery owner, Louise Wilkinson, said: “I took over the nursery on Lomeshaye in 2009 and it was in my 10-year plan to open a purpose-built nursery in which each age group would have their own classroom, dining room and outdoor areas and for the younger ones, sleeping areas.
“Today, we have all those facilities and more. The nursery feels so spacious and has a huge amount of natural light and you can already see the impact it is having on the children and staff.
“Providing a secure, happy and safe environment for children to learn and play is vital to their development and I’m really proud to say that’s what they now have.
“Investment in the project has been huge, running to some £1.8m, which really cements our loyalty to the area and the parents and children we hope to continue to serve for years to come.”
