Setting the Scene for Lancashire’s Digital Future: Digital Lancashire Announces Virtual Forum: Reboot 2020

Digital Lancashire Reboot 2020 is set to take to the virtual stage from Wednesday 14th to 16th October 2020. The regional digital forum will include a series of seminars, sessions and roundtable discussions designed to reboot and reimagine the future of digital in Lancashire.
This three day forum is designed to engage with Digital Lancashire’s members and the wider digital & tech community to better understand where we currently are as a sector as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times, rebooting 2020, and seeing where we go from here. The learnings will not only reshape the current Digital Lancashire Manifesto but will set the scene for an even bigger and better 2021 Digital Lancashire Festival, celebrating and shining a light on our county’s digital ambition.
Reboot 2020 will see key figures from across Lancashire discussing key issues including diversity and inclusion, the future of the workplace, the future of digital as well as addressing key, critical issues that impact the microclimates of our region.
Tom Stables, Digital Lancashire Chair said:
“This forum is much more than a series of seminars and workshops, it is a call out to everybody within Lancashire’s digital & tech community to get involved! Tell us your story, let us know your successes, join us as a delegate or as a speaker to help shape our county’s digital future as well as informing us on what the Digital Lancashire Festival should look like next year. One thing is for sure, in these truly unusual and often uncertain times, we are stronger together!”
Duncan Sandford, Digital Lancashire Managing Director said;
We are so excited to announce the launch of Reboot 2020. Digital Lancashire is listening and we want to hear from the county’s digital community, we want people to get involved, educate us on what is relevant to them, so we can represent each and every part of the sector. We’ll be asking everybody to get involved, to contribute with their own stories, offer feedback, and pitch in with their own ambitious ideas.”

Digital Lancashire Reboot 2020 replaces the originally planned Digital Lancashire Festival, which was delayed due to the impact of the pandemic. The Digital Lancashire team, determined that the show goes on, believe there is still a huge opportunity to take stock of where Lancashire’s digital is currently at, reflect on lessons learnt, ‘reboot’ and plan for the future.

Digital Lancashire is a not-for-profit membership led organisation established to promote digital activities and to support, enhance, improve and audit the county’s digital capabilities.
Digital Lancashire brings every digital professional together. We connect the UX designer with the AI specialist, the graphic designer with the copywriter; and the data analyst with the digital marketer. We help them forge partnerships and collaborations they might otherwise never make, so they can tackle bigger, more ambitious, more rewarding projects together.
Reboot 2020 will coincide with other events taking place across the region and the UK, including Digital Leaders Week (12-16 October) and Lancashire Innovation Month.
