Merlin Events Blackpool, with its plethora of unique venues – SEA LIFE Blackpool, Madame Tussauds Blackpool, The Blackpool Tower and Circus – has scooped the Business Event Venue of the Year award at the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2022.
With 12 different spaces across its eight amazing attractions, all based in the UK’s most visited seaside town, Merlin Events Blackpool impressed judges with its business doesn’t have to be boring proposition, and the scale and variety of events it has organised and hosted on behalf of clients including Virgin, Aviva and Goldman Sachs.
Judges commended Merlin Events Blackpool for its coherent, consistent strategy for business events and the team’s understanding of the balance between work and play, to provide a truly memorable experience.

Finalists in the Business Event Venue of the Year award category for 2022 included the Winter Gardens, Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort, The Wellbeing Farm and Ewood Experience, but following a rigorous judging process, Merlin Events Blackpool triumphed.
All 24 award winners at the ceremony have been shortlisted in the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2023, with Merlin Events representing Lancashire in the Business Events Venue of the Year category. The awards will take place in June.
