In a belated celebration, Manleys Solicitors recently marked its 10th anniversary, which had actually occurred a year ago!
Established in 2012 by renowned media lawyer Mark Manley, Manleys Solicitors is a highly regarded boutique litigation firm situated in Chester. With an extensive background in diverse litigation matters and having previously worked as a partner at Brabners in Liverpool, Manley embraced the challenge of founding this new firm.
On May 1, 2012, Manleys officially commenced its operations, inaugurating its previous offices located on St John Street in Chester. The firm commemorated this milestone with a launch party held at the Hilton Double Tree, attended by esteemed clients such as comedians Ricky Tomlinson, Stan Boardman, and former footballer-turned-Sky TV pundit Jamie Carragher.
Over the past decade and beyond, Manleys has thrived, attracting a client base that reads like a Who’s Who list. The firm has garnered recognition from both national and local media, in addition to being featured in prominent legal directories. Notably, it was shortlisted for the prestigious Lawyer Awards UK Boutique Law Firm of the Year. As the firm outgrew its previous premises, Manley acquired a substantial commercial property spanning three floors in the esteemed Grosvenor Court, relocating there just before Christmas in 2017.
The previous year proved to be exceptionally eventful for the firm, with numerous high-profile cases represented in various courts, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland, the High Court of England and Wales, and the United States District Court in New York. However, amidst the demands of such a busy year, the 10-year anniversary slipped by without celebration. Consequently, Rebekah Booth, the firm’s Chief Operations Officer, conceived the idea of hosting a surprise 10+1 dinner to finally honor the remarkable achievements of the past 11 years.
Reflecting on a decade of success, Mark expressed his satisfaction, stating:
