Baldwins Travel to Open Its First Branch in Lincolnshire at Grantham

Baldwins Travel Agency, renowned for its award-winning service in the travel sector, is embarking on an exciting expansion by opening its inaugural branch in Lincolnshire, located in Grantham. This move marks a significant step in the agency’s growth strategy.

Having been a fixture in the travel industry for over 120 years and boasting nine branches across Kent and Sussex, the agency has transitioned through various ownerships, from the Baldwins to Mr Botting, followed by the Marks family, before being taken over by its current owners in 2021.

The agency is set to unveil its new Grantham store in the Isaac Newton Shopping Centre, which is currently being revitalised in anticipation of its launch on March 4th.

In line with the agency’s ambitious growth plans, Dan Shaw, the Chief Commercial Officer, disclosed the agency’s intent to seek out and acquire new ventures to enhance its market presence and extend its exemplary travel services to a broader clientele.

The Grantham community’s enthusiastic anticipation has invigorated the agency’s expansion efforts, reinforcing its commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, leveraging deep travel knowledge, and offering a comprehensive selection of travel services.

Dan Shaw shared his vision for the company’s growth: “Following the planned opening in Grantham, we are thrilled to further expand our operations through strategic acquisitions,” he noted. “We are actively seeking opportunities to acquire travel businesses that align with our values and commitment to delivering unforgettable travel experiences to our customers.”

This strategic focus on acquisitions highlights Baldwins Travel Agency’s dedication to enriching the travel experience for a more extensive customer base by incorporating the strengths of other travel businesses into its offerings.

As Baldwins Travel Agency continues to pursue new expansion opportunities, it is committed to identifying prime new store locations throughout the UK and exploring additional business avenues beyond the traditional retail setting, drawing on Shaw’s extensive experience in the field.

With a team of 54 dedicated travel professionals, many of whom have built their careers within Baldwins, the agency prides itself on its staff’s extensive travel experience and specialisation in various holiday types, including cruises, safaris, and winter sports, covering destinations from the Americas to Australasia and beyond.
