Chorley business takes on Tough Mudder for charity

Chorley company Hispec is taking on a mighty challenge to raise funds for the national Electrical Industry Charity (EIC).

Teammates are gearing up for Tough Mudder which comprises 20+ obstacles over six miles, designed to test participants’ strength, stamina, and determination.

Hispec – the supplier of fire detection and lighting products – aims to raise at least £1,000 for EIC to support those within the electrical and energy sector.

From helping individuals and families in day-to-day life, to providing financial, legal and medical support, EIC has been looking after those within the industry for more than a century.

Chris Loughlin, managing director of Hispec said: “EIC is a charity which is close to the hearts of many within our team. Having worked in the electrical industry for many years, I know just how important the organisation is to people across the sector.

“We’re aiming to raise at least £1,000 ahead of taking part in Tough Mudder, but I have no doubt the team will absolutely smash this fundraising target. Tough Mudder is known for being a physical challenge, and we’ll all be pushing ourselves to the limit in July, so the training has started!”
