LLANLLECHID, WALES, July 9, 2026 – Welsh electronic artist Efan Electro is marking an important chapter in the nation’s history with his newest release, “Cofiwch“. The 11-year-old DJ, producer and radio presenter will launch the single on Friday 10 July 2026 through Mostly Host’s Records, using electronic music to honour the story of Tryweryn while celebrating Welsh culture and identity.
Meaning “Remember”, “Cofiwch” delivers a haunting electronic soundscape with emotional melodies and uplifting energy. Instead of recounting historical events directly, the track conveys the lasting emotions connected to Tryweryn, presenting Welsh history through a modern electronic style.
The story of Tryweryn remains one of the defining moments in modern Welsh history. Following the completion of the dam in 1965, the valley was flooded and Capel Celyn disappeared beneath Llyn Celyn. For Efan, the story is not simply about history. It represents community, language, identity and the importance of never forgetting Welsh heritage.
Efan said: “Tryweryn is something people in Wales should always remember. I wanted the track to feel emotional and powerful, but also proud, like a piece of Welsh history carried into electronic music.”
At only 11 years old, Efan Electro has established himself as one of Wales’ most promising young electronic artists. Working from his home in Llanllechid near Bethesda, he combines house, techno and festival-inspired sounds with a strong sense of Welsh identity.
The release follows a busy period that has seen Efan perform across Wales and beyond, support well-known artists, appear on radio and attract attention for creating Welsh-inspired electronic music at such a young age. He also hosts Efan’s Electric Hour on Wrexham City Radio every Friday at 9pm.
Fans can watch Efan perform live this summer, including Lakefest Festival from 5 to 9 August 2026 at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, alongside Madness, The Charlatans, Example, Bananarama, Tinchy Stryder, Utah Saints, Todd Terry and Judge Jules.
North Wales audiences can also catch Efan at The Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr on Saturday 29 August before he performs at Party In Y Parc in Holyhead on Monday 31 August 2026. The festival line-up includes Vengaboys, DJ Sammy, Tinchy Stryder, Liam C and local performers.
With “Cofiwch”, Efan continues to combine Welsh culture with contemporary dance music, producing tracks that resonate with younger listeners while celebrating history, identity and pride.
“Cofiwch” by Efan Electro will be released on Friday 10 July 2026 through Mostly Host’s Records.
