Kommerling staff walk together at this year’s ‘Moonlight & Memories Walk’ in memory of colleague

Thirteen members of staff from Preston-based Kommerling UK took part in this year’s Moonlight and Memories Walk, held on Saturday night. The team were walking in memory of their colleague Eddie Sumner, who passed away exactly one year ago.

Eddie, from Lostock Hall, had worked for the company for 33 years. To encourage staff members to participate, the company paid all entry fees and have agreed to match the amounts raised by employees, which is expected to exceed £900.

Marcus Hunter, Business Development Manager said “We are delighted that so many members of staff wanted to get involved and show their respect for Eddie. This is a great local event and the work that St Catherine’s Hospice does in the community is valued by all of those that encounter them,” said Marcus. “We are thrilled with the amount we have raised and the support we received from other colleagues, even though they weren’t walking. We are already talking about getting a team together for next year’s event.”
