Coffee Republic boss to give perfect blend of advice to region’s SMEs

The co-founder of Coffee Republic is set to share her tips for sustainable business performance in a bid to inspire small business owners from across the North West next week.

On 18 October at 5.30pm, Sahar Hashemi will be sharing her expertise as she kick-starts the latest Masterclass Series for 2017-2018 at Lancaster University Management School – a series of free events designed to help North West SMEs grow and prosper.

Helen Fogg, Head of International Business Engagement at Lancaster Management School said: “Starting out as a top-notch corporate lawyer who knew nothing about retail, Sahar became an entrepreneur who managed to turn Brits from tea lovers into coffee drinkers – so she has a great story to share. She blends her experiences of building two famous brands – Coffee Republic and Skinny Candy – with the key ‘habits’ for innovation and creativity, so local businesses could learn a lot from her experience.

“Sahar’s presentations are unique and she has a wonderful way of bringing her convictions to life through story-telling. We think she will prove to be a wonderful speaker to launch this year’s greatly anticipated Masterclass Series.”

Sahar believes that entrepreneurship is not about personality, nor is it restricted to start-ups. It’s a set of habits that anyone can learn – habits that are becoming increasingly important to organisations big or small. The event is the first of Lancaster University Management School’s SME Masterclass series –  which are all supported by NatWest.

The Masterclasses are free for SME business owners and managers to attend, but places are limited and must be reserved by contacting Abi Lucy on 01524 593497.
