A local woodworking business has celebrated its first full year of trading by being accepted to prestigious online retailer, Not on the High Street.
Lancashire-based independent woodworking workshop, William Firth Woodcraft, launched in November 2016. Owned by William Firth himself, the business formed from generations of Woodworking family members before him. Will’s Grandfather, Eric Firth, is an award-winning Woodturner; who, along with Will’s Father, passed down all the knowledge and passion of woodworking, which Will now calls his full time career.
Specialising in homeware and gifts, every product that William Firth Woodcraft creates is made completely by hand from start to finish out of their workshop in the village of Scorton. Every product produced uses traditional processes and best practices, to ensure each item lasts a lifetime and is of the highest quality. All timber used to create the products is as locally sourced as possible and always reliably sourced.
Throughout 2017, the business has gained nationwide stockists, and has also built strong relationships with Breweries up and down the country, creating corporate products such as Personalised Beer Caddies and Taster Paddles. In the month of November, almost a year to the day since launching the business, the prestigious online retailer, Not on the High Street, has added William Firth Woodcraft to its portfolio and after rigorous applications, has asked the business to be part of the website from January 2018.
2018 looks to be a promising year as the portfolio of customers grows all the time, as well as the team attending one of the largest Trade Shows in the country, Top Drawer at Olympia London, in January.
Will Firth said; “I never dreamt that the business would be a reality, and it’s amazing to see just how far we have come in such a short space of time. We can’t wait to see what the future brings and to keep moving on to bigger and better things. I’d like to thank all of our customers and loyal following for all the support in 2017.”
