Lancashire agency wins national charity app development project

Preston based digital agency, Tienda Digital, have been appointed to develop a mobile app for retailTRUST, a national trade charity that supports everyone involved in retail and the related service industries.

retailTRUST delivers emotional, physical, financial and vocational support to the 4.5 million people involved with the UK retail sector. The charity’s retailHUB brand is contracted to provide wellbeing services to retailers. They needed an app to collate all their information and services in one place, making it more easily accessible for service users on their mobile devices.

After consulting with agencies across the UK, retailTRUST decided to enlist the services of Lancashire agency, Tienda Digital. Daniel Fisher, Tienda Digital’s Director said: “we are delighted to be working with such an established charity, and to be involved in an even greater cause. Winning this project will not only be a huge boost for the business, but also for Lancashire county. Tienda Digital is an agency with a difference, and having already worked with the national charity Barnardo’s, we knew working with the retailTRUST would be something we wanted to pursue and we certainly grabbed it with both hands. We’re looking forward to working on the project and hopefully establishing an ongoing relationship with this great charity.”

Tienda Digital will be developing an iOS and Android app. Users of the apps will be able to access a range of content such as financial support, legal guidance, emotional support and organisational support.

Winning this contract is again proving that Lancashire has a fantastic pool of talent, with many great agencies securing development projects from national businesses, and Tienda Digital are one of the agencies flying the flag for the red rose county.
