Cassons deliver egg-cellent result for charity

A leading firm of accountants and business advisers held a special Easter fund raiser in support of a local charity Home-Start Rossendale, Burnley and Hyndburn.

Sarah Colyer and Agnes Flanagan from Cassons, part of the Baldwins Group, organised an Easter egg raffle which raised £145 for the charity, which supports families with young children in the area.

Mary Buchanan, Chair of Home-Start Rossendale, Burnley and Hyndburn, said: “We are very grateful to Cassons for raising funds for us.  As we are a local charity, this donation makes a positive impact within the local community. This money will help us to recruit, train and supervise volunteers who visit families in their own homes or run group activities.

“Our volunteers provide both practical and emotional support and help enable parents to identify and manage the issues they face leading to improved outcomes for the whole family. Thanks again to Cassons for choosing Home-Start.”

Les Nutter Managing Director of Cassons said: “It’s great to be able to support such a worthy local charity like Home-Start. Each year members of our team come up with some great fundraising ideas and suggestions of which local charity to support – and everyone joins in.  It brings the team closer together and offers support to groups that really need it. A true win-win.”
