Bridge-ing the gap at booming plumbing depot

James Hargreaves Plumbing Depot has invested £150,000 to add 50% extra trading space -including a new bathroom showroom – at the booming branch on Charnley Road Industrial Estate.

The switch from Unit 24 to Unit 23 represents great news for management duo Andy Dolphin and Peter Waterhouse as they celebrate 10 years at the helm.

Since opening the Bamber Bridge branch in 2008, Andy (manager) and Peter (assistant) have trebled both the turnover and the staffing levels.

“It’s been success from day one and now we have a real opportunity to develop further,” said Andy. “We might only have moved a few yards, but the branch is far more spacious and the new bathroom showroom has 21 separate displays.”

The six-strong team at Bamber Bridge boasts close on 100 years of hands-on experience in the plumbing and heating business.

“Not only that, but we are all steeped in the local area; customers know us by reputation and appreciate our determination to provide them with highest levels of service,” added Andy.

Bill Davies, sales director at James Hargreaves Plumbing Depot said: “Bamber Bridge is one of our stand-out branches and we took the decision to invest without a moment’s hesitation. The location is top and the trading record over the past decade speaks for itself. A bigger trade counter plus an impressive bathroom showroom means we can all look to the future with great confidence.”
