Two family businesses have joined forces to celebrate Lancashire Day.
Bowker Motor Group and Warden Construction, both based in Lancashire, have built a giant Lancashire rose from cars and bikes.
The rose featured four red MINIs and a red BMW for the petals. And the leaves were represented by motorbikes from Bowker Motorrad and Bowker Harley-Davidson.
Warden Construction staff in highly visible safety clothing were on hand to represent the bright yellow stamen in the centre of the rose.
For Bowker Motor Group, marketing manager Amy Lancaster said: “Lancashire means everything to us. And we’re proud to serve the motoring community in the county. To mark our county day, we wanted to collaborate on a special fun project with another Lancashire business.”
For Warden, managing director Richard Kenworthy said: “ We worked together with Bowker to combine staff, cars and bikes in the shape of 15 metre-wide rose. The project typifies the way Lancastrians do anything: We get on with the job; we’re innovative and have fun when we can; and, we’re proud of where we live.”
