Business group moves to new venue after £4 Million milestone

A Lancaster and Morecambe business group has moved to a new venue in Morecambe after generating over £4 million in business since its launch in 2012.

Previously meeting at Lancaster & Morecambe College, BNI Morecambe will now meet at Lothersdale Hotel, Marine Road East, Morecambe, every Wednesday morning.

Harry Armistead, Chapter President and partner with award-winning utilities provider Utility Warehouse, said: “This is an incredibly proud moment for us as a growing group of sole-traders and small businesses within the local area. To have passed over £4 million in invoiced business is a real milestone, and it’s only made better with the knowledge that all that business supports the local economy and our community.

“We are also very excited to have moved to our new venue on the promenade in Morecambe.  With exciting developments such as the Eden Project North and the increased access provided by the Bay Gateway, Morecambe is a really exciting place to be in business right now.

“What I love about BNI is that it’s local businesses helping one another and working collaboratively to get the most from the business opportunities that are available to all of us.

“BNI is like a community and our success comes from getting the right people in the group.  We’re really fortunate to have a fantastic set of people already, and we are always welcoming visitors to come along and see if it’s something that could work for them too.  The more good people there are in a group, the better it works for everyone, so our doors are always open.”
