Second HR Academy Event Coming to the North West

Higher People, a recruitment firm specialising in HR and Marketing roles, are hosting their second HR Academy on Thursday 2nd February at Samlesbury Hall. The day long
event, running from 10am – 4pm, will include three guests speakers as well as a HR Clinic where attendees can talk through current issues and use the ‘power of the room’, opening up each issue to the collective knowledge of everyone attending to try and help prove suggestions and solutions. The topics covered at this event are “How to better support neurodiversity in the workplace”,”How to approach difficult conversations in a new way” and “HR for HR”. Sessions are relaxed, friendly and interactive to ensure that everyone attending can get the most out of the day. Higher People, run by husband and wife team Martin and Charlotte Drake who are both from a HR and Marketing background respectively, are trying to change the perception of how recruitment agencies operate, placing a focus on service and creating communities with the professions they recruit within.

Martin Drake, Managing Director of Higher People, said “Our HR Academy events are an opportunity to bring together people from within HR and L&D, as well as business leaders, from across the region to educate, inspire, and discuss various topics that will ultimately make these businesses better for employers and employees.” Guests from the previous event ran at the end of November said “They are an amazing opportunity for networking” and “I left with a bucket of inspiration and ideas that we have started implementing into our organisation”
