Prosperant Welcomes Gene Phillips as Principal Consultant, Strengthening Expertise in Litigation Support

Prosperant, the foremost management consultancy in the legal industry, is thrilled to announce the addition of Gene Phillips as a principal consultant. Based in Los Angeles, California, Phillips will contribute his extensive expertise to the Prosperant team, specialising in complex projects that involve expanding domestic and international exposure for US firms, as well as establishing a US presence for UK-based and global firms.

With over 13 years of international consulting experience, Phillips brings a wealth of knowledge and a robust network to Prosperant. He has provided strategic consulting and expert witness services for renowned litigation powerhouses and boutique firms across various countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, the UK, and the Netherlands. Serving as the CEO of PF2 Securities and as a Special Advisor to Validity Finance, Phillips has played a significant role in advising on intricate and high-profile commercial disputes. Prior to his consultancy work, he held positions with Citigroup Alternative Investments, a hedge fund based in New York, and Moody’s Investors Service, where he began his career in the Derivatives group.

Jamie White, co-founder of Prosperant, expressed enthusiasm about Phillips joining the team, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Gene, a highly regarded figure in the field of litigation. Having dedicated a substantial part of my career to supporting US-headquartered law firms from London, it is truly exciting to now have a strong presence on the ground. Our clients are eagerly anticipating this development.”

Phillips himself expressed his delight at collaborating with Prosperant, remarking on the longstanding professional relationship they have maintained. He believes that the current climate, characterised by technological advancements and societal changes, presents an opportune moment for law firms to seek new solutions and set themselves apart. He commended Prosperant for its proven track record in launching firms and bringing together the right mix of individuals or partners. Phillips expressed particular enthusiasm for assisting boutiques and business lines in building their profiles through sustainable and scalable business development practices.

Phillips is the latest addition to the Prosperant team, following the recruitment of Tina Fordham, former geopolitical strategist to global investors and the C-Suite at Citi, as a principal senior adviser in February. Subsequently, Ian Moyler, who served as the Senior Clerk at Brick Court Chambers in London for over 30 years, joined the team. These senior appointments underscore Prosperant’s commitment to providing world-class advice and exceptional advisors wherever their clients require support. The US market remains of paramount importance to Prosperant, and the inclusion of Gene Phillips further strengthens their capabilities in this critical region.

Paul Martenstyn, co-founder of Prosperant, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s growth, emphasising their dedication to delivering top-tier guidance. He stated, “Our goal is to offer world-class advice and exceptional advisors wherever our clients conduct their business. The US market is of immense significance to us, and we are thrilled to have Gene’s support in this endeavor.”
