Tickets are available now for a guided walk across the beautiful sands of Morecambe Bay in support of the NSPCC.
Fundraisers in the North West have organised this year’s event to raise vital funds for the children’s charity’s services in the region, and Childline which has bases in the region and offers support to children across the UK.
The nine-mile walk will take place on June 20, starting from Arnside and finishing in Grange-over-Sands, and will be fully guided by the official King’s Guide, Michael Wilson with support from marshalls.
Caroline Spargo-Ceesay, NSPCC Supporter Relationship Fundraiser, said the walkers would enjoy a very special day.
Caroline said: “This promises to be a fantastic event, taking in the bay’s shifting sands, tidal channels and stunning coastal views while raising money for a good cause.
“We would love to see as many fundraisers as possible on the day, and the gentle walk is so accessible it’s open to adults, children and well-behaved dogs! Bring drinks, snacks, sun cream and encourage friends and family to donate a few pounds which will support the NSPCC’s important work in the North West and across the country.”
Tickets cost £40 for adults, £20 for children, and dogs go free. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100, while donations can also be made through the signup website.
