Cuadrilla has partnered with the two Lancashire Chambers of Commerce

As part of its procurement strategy Cuadrilla has partnered with the two Lancashire Chambers of Commerce (North & Western Lancashire and East Lancashire) to identify and support local businesses that want to become part of the shale gas supply chain. The Shale Gas Supply Chain Portal managed by the Chambers is the first point of contact for local business and agencies wishing to engage in the project.

Almost 900  businesses have now registered with over 80% based and operating in Lancashire.

164 registrations are from firms based on the Fylde Coast where shale gas exploration is due to start in the coming months.

Babs Murphy, chief executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce said:  “Already 32  local businesses have benefited from contracting with Cuadrilla and over the coming months a significant  number of further contracts  will be awarded to Lancashire firms”.

If businesses would like to be considered as a future supplier to the industry please register your interest at   www.shalegaslancashire.co.uk.

This website forms the central resource for all Lancashire businesses who wish to make the most of the opportunities arising out of the development.
