Digital announcement confirms new era of tax reporting for business owners says local accountant

With many years’ experience starting, growing and selling his own small businesses in different sectors, last year David Nayar set up TaxAssist Accountants Preston in response to growing demand for jargon-free accountancy advice and support for small businesses across the region.

TaxAssist Accountants in Preston provides a wide range of accountancy services including tax returns, annual accounts and bookkeeping, helping a diverse range of small businesses including start-ups, sole traders, landlords and limited companies operating across a wide range of business sectors, from business consultants, hairdressers and retailers to builders, joiners and electricians.

With a new era of tax reporting on the horizon, David says it is a significant new challenge facing small businesses. Making Tax Digital will see annual tax returns replaced by quarterly reporting from April 2018, meaning big changes for the small business community.

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will introduce quarterly updates for many businesses, self- employed professionals and property landlords. This change is intended to help businesses and individuals better keep track of how much tax is owed – or how much is due back – throughout the financial year.

TaxAssist Accountants Preston can work with individuals and businesses to prepare them for Making Tax Digital. If you are in business, or require advice on tax and want to get an idea of what TaxAssist Accountants can offer you, why not take advantage of a free appointment to receive some valuable,jargon-free advice.
