Lancaster based Kidds Transport completes new Headquarters in partnership with Diamond Interiors

Kidds Transport, a Lancaster based, family run haulage company,  was established in the 1950s,initially serving the dairy and agricultural industries but now  provides transport solutions nationwide.

Unfortunately, in late 2015, the heavy floods in the Lancaster region, damaged the old headquarters along with many other businesses, and the decision was made to invest in a new headquarters at their existing site. Builtin two phases, it was important to ensure the new design would  be appropriate for coping with the anticipated growth the company has forecasted and its future plans.

After an initial consultation, Lancashire based Diamond Interiors was appointed as interior design and fit out contractors.

Nick Pollitt, MD of Diamond commented: “Working with Kidds Transport has been a pleasure. Despite the many advantages of separating the external shell from the core, Cat A and Cat B build, most businesses still tend to employ a construction company to manage the fit-out process. We were able to demonstrate how we could save Kidds Transport money and deliver exceptional value.

“We were particularly pleased to be one Lancashire business partnering another and using local suppliers throughout the project.”
