One of Blackpool’s oldest hotels to celebrate its 150th anniversary year with a new partnership

The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool, is a grand 4-star 180 bedroom 19th Century hotel, recalling the opulence and glamour of this famous resort’s Victorian heyday, coupled with all the comforts and requirements of modern life, as well as enjoying spectacular views over the beach to the sea.

Situated on North Promenade, it was built in June 1867 and as part of a host of celebrations, the owners have decided to mark its 150th anniversary year by forming a partnership with Business Lancashire to help highlight Lancashire’s (and especially, Blackpool’s) good news business stories, through its sponsorship of Events and Training.

“The Imperial Hotel is a Blackpool landmark and, throughout our glorious history, we have welcomed a host of royalty, politicians, statesmen and stars of both stage and screen” reflected Caroline Richardson, Sales Manager, Imperial Hotel.

“During this period, the hotel has been supported by numerous Lancastrian businesses and as part of our 150th anniversary year of celebrationswe wanted to reflect and recognise the importance of this business support. After detailed research, we decided that the opportunity to work in partnership with Business Lancashire, to highlight that Lancashire is a great place to live, work and visit, was the perfect solution.

Added Andrew Mann, Director, Business Lancashire: “We look forward, over the next 12 months, to working with the Imperial Hotel and its guests, employees and suppliers, to highlight its heritage, achievements and the way forward, as it enters an exciting new chapter in its history.”
