GARSTANG BUSINESSES JOIN FORCES TO OFFER RETIREMENT PLANNING ADVICE

Key Mortgage Advice and Vincent’s Solicitors host successful event at Barton Grange

On July 20th, The Green Room at Barton Grange was filled with people eager to learn more about retirement planning from Sharon Duckworth of Key Mortgage Advice and Lisa Lodge of Vincent’s Solicitors; both businesses based on Garstang’s picturesque high street.

The event featured a talk by both businesses, focusing on the importance of a Lasting Power of Attorney with Vincent’s Solicitors, and the benefits of a Lifetime Mortgage with Key Mortgage Advice. The message that attendees were encouraged to take away with them is to enjoy retirement rather than worrying about what they are leaving behind.

With life expectancy ever increasing, Duckworth and Lodge also stressed the importance of planning financially for long term care. Over 50% of people have some sort of care system in place at the age of 80, and this invariably costs money that many people don’t consider saving.

“With property values having trebled in the past ten years and pensions dipping significantly behind earnings, it is more important than ever to ensure that you know your options when it comes to retirement”, explains Duckworth.
