Mellors Catering Services Hits 200th Landmark

Mellors Catering Services, the contract caterer, based near Wigan in Lancashire,
has gained its 200 th contract catering site.

The family-run business that celebrated its 21 st birthday last year now has catering
contracts in over 200 education and business and industry sites across the North of
England.

As part of a planned growth strategy, the company increased its sites by 37% in the
last 24 months and has further ambitious plans to double in size within five years. In
order to do this, Mellors Catering Services has invested heavily in specialist staff and
IT equipment alongside processes to aid the success it is seeing.
Tony Trainor, Chief Operating Officer at Mellors Catering Services says:
“This is a great September start for us to have smashed through the landmark 200
number of sites which is a combination of great retention rates and winning several
new site contracts.

We have had an amazing 18 months – winning the prestigious national contract
caterer of the year award 2017, recently getting through to the BIBA’s awards finals
in 3 categories and now having over 200 sites to our name.
It comes down to passion, hard work, great staff and planning and it just re-iterates
to us and our customers that we are the First Choice Contract Caterer in the North.”
