Carnforth attractions join together for Groups

2017 is going to a very busy new year for two award winning attractions in Carnforth, who have teamed up to bring an exciting new opportunity to group visitors.

After winning the “Great for Groups” award at the Lancashire Tourism Awards, the team at Leighton Hall have seen a surge in coaches and group visitors.
Meanwhile, just 4 miles down the road, Carnforth Station Heritage Centre aren’t doing too badly either! They scooped the prestigious prize of “Best Small Visitor Attraction” at this years’ ceremony.
Now the teams at each venue are working together to entice more visitors to the local area.

John Adams, Manager of the Heritage Centre explained “Lucy Arthurs at Leighton Hall and I have always been friends and as neighbouring attractions try to help each other wherever possible. We are both half day destinations, so it made perfect sense to join forces and offer our group visitors and coaching customers a full day out incorporating both venues”.

Lucy continued “We’ve made it as easy as possible. We’ve created a full day’s itinerary so it’s easy for group organisers and tour operators to plan their trip”.

Visitors arrive at the Heritage Centre at ten thirty and after discovering a fascinating range of exhibition areas and a retail outlet, can treat themselves to something from
the refreshment rooms where the iconic movie “Brief Encounter” was filmed.

Then it’s back on the coach and off to Leighton Hall where afternoon tea, guided house tours, pretty gardens and a birds of prey display awaits.

A unique and exciting day out for lovers of nostalgia, both attractions provide the very best in hospitality with time to spare for strolling and souvenirs. With two awards under their belts, you are assured of a top quality, value for money day out.
Available all year round to groups of 25 or more, but must be pre-booked.
