Nugent Santé announce new partnership with Doctaly

Preston based health insurance intermediary, Nugent Santé, who advise and arrange private medical insurance for corporate, SME and personal clients have teamed up with Doctaly to offer their clients fast access to GP services in their local area.

Doctaly is the UK’s first online GP marketplace enabling patients to book a convenient face-to-face consultation with an NHS GP on a private, fee paying basis.

Nugent Santé will be providing Doctaly GP appointments to their corporate clients, helping to drive down the significant cost of employee sickness absence.

With 137 million working days lost to sickness absence in the UK in 2016 (Office for National Statistics) and a £9 billion cost to employers for sick pay and associated costs (Unum), this will create substantial savings for employers as well as the economy.

Being able to access a GP quickly will provide speedier referrals for diagnosis of medical conditions that need treating urgently to prevent deterioration. It will also help patients utilise their medical insurance cover even if it’s just a referral for less invasive outpatient treatment such as physiotherapy.

Ben Teichman, CEO of Doctaly commented: “We’re excited to be working with Nugent Santé and firmly believe that the partnership will be of significant benefit to their clients. Employee sickness absence represents a major financial burden for employers and this partnership is a great opportunity to reduce that burden, as well as offering their employees a valuable perk.”

Paul Nugent, Managing Director of Nugent Santé commented, “Our partnership with Doctaly will allow us to offer clients on-demand GP appointments for their staff, quicker than current NHS waiting times allow, plus more affordably than existing private providers. The flexibility of the service combined with the cost should ensure people return to full health and their normal home and working lives as quickly as possible. We’re very much looking forward to a successful partnership.”
