Preston City Council seeks 2018 sponsors

Preston City Council is looking for companies across the city and further afield to become involved in the range of vibrant events taking place in 2018.

Preston has a varied and quality event programme from the quirky Egg Rolling, held dear by generations of Prestonians to the regular shows, performances, fairs taking place on the Flag Market, every Saturday over the summer to the new large scale Lancashire Encounter arts festival taking place every other year.

Over 92,000 people visited Preston City Council events last year and the council’s research highlighted a satisfaction rating of 94%, showing the acceptance and celebration of events from people within the city and the wider Lancashire community.

Tim Joel, Events and Cultural services Manager at Preston Council, said: “The benefits of events are well known and documented from the increase in footfall, positive impact on health and welling of our residents, contributing to the local economy and positioning Preston as a vibrant place to live, work and study.

“We are seeking sponsorship from businesses across Preston, to help grow and develop our events and cultural offering, in-turn attracting even more visitors to this fantastic city.

“Sponsorship provides a unique opportunity to raise your profile both within Preston and further afield, pledging your support to the city provides excellent exposure to companies across sectors.”
