Blog Preston sponsors Flag Market

A diverse summer of events is taking place on the city’s Flag Market and Blog Preston is helping to make it happen.

From Bollywood dancing to bodyslams there’s family-friendly fun planned every Saturday from the first weekend of June through until the end of August.

The free events are being put on by Preston City Council with Blog Preston as sponsor.

Founder and editor of Blog Preston, Ed Walker, said: “When we saw the programme that’s been put together for the Summer Saturdays we were really impressed.

“We know councils are in a tight spot with regards to funding and we wanted to ensure this range of diverse events could be supported.

“As always we’ll be ensuring there’s full coverage on Blog Preston.

“We hope everyone enjoys the Saturdays and fingers crossed the Preston weather plays ball!”

Cabinet member for culture and leisure councillor Peter Kelly said: “We are really pleased to welcome Blog Preston on-board as sponsors for our diverse Summer Saturdays’ programme. Sponsors and partners are invaluable as we continue to deliver an ambitious events and cultural programme for Preston.

“Every Saturday, from the beginning of June until 25 August, will see a different event animate the Flag Market and Harris, giving Prestonians and visitors even more to see and do in the city centre this summer. We hope to see you there!”
