Jones Melling opens office in Preston

A growing property and construction advisory firm has opened a new office in Preston after a period of strong growth.

The firm was previously based in Warrington but has opened an office in Guildhall Street, Preston, and a second new office in Chester to better service its growing client base in the North West and nationally. The firm also has an office in London.

Jones Melling, which has 15 staff, recently received a six-figure growth funding boost from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) to support its expansion.

The firm, co-founded in 2009 by chartered surveyors Ken Jones and Gary Melling, has also unveiled a new brand identity and website to better reflect its service offering and sector expertise.

Gary Melling, director, said: “It’s almost 10 years since Ken and I started the business and we’ve grown significantly in that time. We’ve built a great team and we’re working nationally with some major businesses, so felt it was the right time to invest in the next phase of our growth.

“Having two north west offices and our London hub gives us to access to a larger talent pool and added flexibility to support our clients across the UK.”

Ken Jones, director, added: “Gary and I remain as ambitious as the day we started the business. As well as investing in our offices and staff, we’ve focused on better defining our services, culture and values.

“Our new brand identity reflects our role as genuine property experts and reinforces our commitment to offer clients, staff and partners quality in everything we do.”
