Lloyd BMW veteran takes on new Motability role

A long-serving member of the Lloyd BMW Colne team has taken the reigns on the dealerships’ Motability Scheme.

John Edge has worked at the Lloyd BMW Colne site for 12 years. During this time, John has sold over 1,000 cars and in his new role, he will advise and guide interested people who want to lease cars under the Motability Scheme, helping them to find the perfect car for their needs.

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. Since its introduction, Lloyd BMW Colne has leased over 400 vehicles via the scheme.

John said: “In this new role, I will be the main point of contact for those looking to lease a car through the Motability Scheme. I’ve been working at the Lloyd BMW Colne site for many years now, with much of my time being spent helping people choose the right car through Motability.

“This new role will allow me to focus my attention on Motability to a greater level, offering cars such as the 1 series, X1 and new X2 on the Motability scheme, whilst still looking after my retail clients.”

Stephanie de Looze, Marketing Manager, Lloyd BMW, added: “John’s new role as Motability Specialist reflects Lloyd BMW’s growing focus on the scheme and its benefits to both our customers and the Group.

“John is a true veteran at our Colne dealership. His expertise and experience will be invaluable in helping people find the right BMW for their requirements, from very low advance payments.”
