Jonie joins Harrison Drury’s commercial property team

Jonie, who joins as an associate solicitor in the firm’s Lancaster office, has specific expertise in property acquisitions and disposals and development finance and will advise clients across the region.

She joins Harrison Drury from Marsden Rawsthorn having returned to her native Lancashire from the South East, where she qualified with leading London law firm Addleshaw Goddard.

With specialisms in investment and development work and arranging real estate finance, she has extensive experience in freehold and leasehold property transactions, refinancing projects and secured lending.

Hannah Hughes, head of the firm’s Lancaster office, said: “Jonie’s professional skills and experience will make a positive impact on our service offering and the results we achieve for our clients. This is especially at a time when market conditions are causing flux in the property market and getting the right advice is vital.

“Her appointment brings our commercial property team to 29 members and further strengthens our presence in Lancaster.”

Jonie, who holds a degree in Law and French from Newcastle University, said: “It’s clear that Harrison Drury prioritises employee wellbeing, career progression and development and that’s what really appealed to me about this opportunity.

“It’s a role I believe I can thrive in and I’m looking forward to supporting and guiding our clients through the opportunities and challenges they face during these fast-changing and unpredictable times.”

When away from the office, Jonie enjoys an eclectic interest in music, playing the piano and singing. She also has a keen interest in sport and outdoor pursuits. Jonie speaks fluent French and regularly holidays in the south of France.
