Budweiser Brewing Group partners with Burnley College to offer Lancashire-Based Apprenticeships

Lancashire learners are getting the opportunity to start their engineering careers with the largest
brewer in the world – as Themis at Burnley College signs an exclusive apprenticeship deal with
Budweiser Brewing Group.
The three apprenticeship roles are the result of a year-long negotiation with the global company who
recently invested more than £115 million in their Samlesbury facility.
The roles, in both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines start in September.
Themis at Burnley College prides itself on its links with industry, ensuring our learners leave with the
best possible experience, knowledge and connections.
These brand-new opportunities are the result of tireless work over a number of years by Themis and
Budweiser Brewing Group who have wanted to create the perfect apprenticeship pathway.
Hannah Cutler, Head of Themis at Burnley College says it’s an honour to work with such a giant of
industry:
“At Themis we believe in equipping our Apprentices with the most relevant skills, the
latest industry skills and the best opportunities with the biggest names in
manufacturing.
“Working with Budweiser achieves all of those goals and more. We pride ourselves on
our links with industry and we’re honoured to be working alongside such a prestigious
company.”
Chris Blacow – Reliability Manager from Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I said:
“To be able to connect with such a well-respected and innovative Apprenticeships
provider in the area is fantastic.
“Together we can share best practice, share our skills and knowledge and work
together to create a strong, flexible, resilient workforce for the future.”
