KCS Procurement Services Appoints Forbes Solicitors To Legal Services Framework

Forbes Solicitors has been appointed to the KCS Procurement Services framework for Legal Services.

KCS Procurement Services is part of the Commercial Services Group, one of the largest, local authority owned trading organisations in the UK. The appointment will see Forbes Solicitors support KCS Procurement Services across 25 different areas of operation, as the group delivers a wide spectrum of products and services to the education and public sectors.

KCS Procurement Services supports organisations across the entire public sector. This framework is accessible to local government, NHS, blue light, education, central government bodies and charities. KCS Procurement Services is committed to providing agreements across a broad spectrum of goods and services that will drive value to public organisations and that are easy to use. The Legal Services framework offers public bodies the choice of further competition or direct award.

Forbes Solicitors has been appointed to provide legal services for a four-year period, covering matters ranging from adult social care law, civil litigation, and employment, right through to intellectual property rights, data protection and international law.

Daniel Milnes, Partner and Head of Governance, Procurement, and Information at Forbes Solicitors, said: “KCS Procurement Services helps clients with diverse and sometimes complex briefs. This can involve drawing on a Public Contracts Regulations (PCR 2015) compliant supply chain of over 400 partners or utilising partnerships and joint ventures. Their Legal Services framework underpins this by bringing together law firms with experience and expertise spanning multiple specialisms to mitigate risk and ensure the most effective solution is always delivered to customers.”

Tarryn Kerr, Director of Procurement Services at KCS Procurement Services, added: “Our framework partners help fulfil our commitment of driving best value for customers. Therefore, we have an extremely robust tendering process in place to ensure we work with partners at the fore of their respective sectors. Forbes Solicitors ranked highly during tendering and we’re confident they’ll complement our approach to providing insightful advice and innovative solutions.”
