GUILDHALL SALES AND LETTINGS SUPPORTS LOCAL CHARITY WITH MAYOR’S CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION

Preston-based sales and lettings agent Guildhall Sales and Lettings are showcasing their support for local charity The Foxton Centre by sponsoring an extra special Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition in partnership with Preston BID.

The competition will see Christmas cards delivered to up to 88 schools from the PR1, PR2 and PR3 postcodes, with the winners announced on the main stage at this year’s Preston Christmas Light Switch On, which takes place on Saturday 19th November on Preston’s Flag Market.

Prizes up for grabs include a framed award certificate and a picture of the winning card; 25 cards and envelopes for family and friends; and local shopping vouchers.

Following the announcement, the general public will then get the opportunity to purchase the three winning Christmas cards from The Harris Library, the Preston North End Club shop and from the Guildhall Sales & Lettings’ branch on Blackpool Road, with a percentage of the proceeds going to The Foxton Centre.

The Foxton Centre is a Preston-based charity with a long history and strong commitment to working in the local community with both adults and young people, providing support, safety and resources to those in need.

Chris Dale, Head of Residential Sales at Guildhall Sales & Lettings, said: “Here at Guildhall Sales & Lettings we feel strongly about helping and supporting our local community and by sponsoring the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition, we feel it gives us the opportunity to do that with The Foxton Centre, who do incredible work with so many people.”

Mayor of Preston, Cllr Neil Darby, said: “I am really pleased to see so many people pulling together to help our community, and I am really looking forward to seeing all the entries coming in.”

Mark Whittle, Preston BID Manager, said: “The tremendous work carried out by The Foxton Centre is vital for vulnerable adults and young children in Preston and we are proud to be working with the Mayor, Guildhall Sales & Lettings, The Harris Library, Preston North End Community and Education Trust, as well as our local schools, to raise money for such an important charity.”

Jeff Marsh, CEO at The Foxton Centre, commented: “We can’t thank Guildhall Sales & Lettings and Preston BID enough for this wonderful initiative. In the last three years we have seen a 300% increase in the number of people rough sleeping on Preston’s streets and it is down to support like this that we can support those who are more vulnerable.”
