ROQ LAUNCH SOFTWARE SKILLS APPRENTICESHIP SUPPORTED BY CREDERSI

ROQ, a leading North-West quality software engineering consultancy, today announces it has launched the ROQ Academy Apprenticeship in partnership with Credersi, experts in online technology courses and bootcamps built with employability at their core, enabling graduates and their employers to realise the benefits of the training almost immediately.

Credersi and ROQ have worked in partnership to create a uniquely designed fast-track software testing training course for this new apprenticeship course, having also done this successfully for ROQ’s Graduate Academy Programme, for which the company is now on its second major intake.

The ROQ Academy Apprenticeship is a structured training programme with a fixed start date of 16th January 2023, so recruiting is now underway for this fully funded training programme at no cost to the individuals. In addition, all employees benefit from a competitive salary from the day they join ROQ, throughout the bootcamp and beyond.

Commenting, Sarah Riggott, Head of People at ROQ, says: “This is being run as an opportunity for individuals to start, or maybe re-start, a career in software testing. For this intake, we are looking to support veterans and ex-forces, those changing career direction and career break returners*.

“It’s a complete retraining opportunity. We’re looking for people who are inquisitive, good at problem-solving and have a strong attention to detail. The profiles we’re attracting are those of individuals who are enthusiastic about learning new skills and have the tenacity to develop knowledge whilst working in an exciting and ever-changing environment,” she added.

Stuart Kirby, CTO at Credersi, said: “Within this programme, as well as the Level 4 Software Testing Apprenticeship, candidates complete the ISTQB Foundation in Testing, which is an industry-recognised qualification. They will also be supported internally by ROQ to produce their own automation framework within their first 15 months.”
