The winners of the 2022 Mayor’s Christmas Card competition were announced live on the main stage at the Preston Christmas Light Switch On, which took place on Saturday 19th November on Preston’s iconic flag market.

Over 2,000 local school children entered the competition which was sponsored by Preston-based sales and lettings agent Guildhall Sales & Lettings in partnership with Preston BID, with pupils from up to 88 primary schools invited to take part.

Following hours of deliberation, Mayor of Preston, Cllr Neil Darby and head of residential sales at Guildhall Sales & Lettings, Chris Dale, agreed on a winner of Zaynab Shah, second place went to Jack Parry and third place to Emilia Hunt Flynn.

Prizes for the winners included a framed award certificate and a picture of the winning card; 25 cards and envelopes for family and friends; and local shopping vouchers.

Following the announcement, the general public now have the opportunity to purchase the three winning Christmas cards from The Harris Library, the Preston North End Club shop and from the Guildhall Sales & Lettings’ branch on Blackpool Road, with proceeds going to The Foxton Centre.
