New Clitheroe business park development transport assessment delivered by Eddisons

The successful planning application for a new commercial development on a 7.4 acre site at Barrow Brook Business Park in Clitheroe has been assessed by property group Eddisons regarding transport and highway matters.

Appointed by developer Ribble Valley Industrial, Eddisons’ Manchester-based transport planning and design division managed all the transport and highways issues involved in the 260,000 sq ft scheme, including the design of new roundabout access to the business park from the A59.

Barrow Brook Business Park is a key strategic employment site in Clitheroe and the new development is expected to generate economic investment and job opportunities across the Ribble Valley.

Eddisons partner Phil Wooliscroft who leads the transport planning and highway design division, said: “It is good news that Ribble Valley Borough Council have resolved to approve the planning application which will bring significant economic benefits to this area of Lancashire. Eddisons were really pleased to be involved in the scheme. Our team were able to sort out all of the transport and highways issues on behalf of Ribble Valley Industrial to the satisfaction of Lancashire County Council so that the development could proceed.”

Eddisons’ 14-strong and growing transport planning and highway design consultancy was founded in 2011 and provides transport planning and highway design advice to predominantly private sector clients, helping them maximise the commercial value of land and assets throughout the planning and design process.

Eddisons is one of the UK’s fastest growing property firms, employing over 360 people nationally across 25 offices.
