Owners of Barrowford Development Win Top Property Award

Northstone, the company behind the Keld development in Barrowford, Lancashire has been named Housebuilder of the Year in the North West Residential Property Awards 2023.

The coveted award, hotly challenged by eight other finalists, including national operators, was presented to Northstone because it ‘has achieved something others should aspire to’. According to the judging panel they ‘admired Northstone’s approach which elevates it beyond mainstream housebuilders.’

The black-tie event, held at Manchester Central celebrates the people and businesses that have designed, developed, funded and continue to manage the built environment across the North West of England.

Phil Wilson, Chief Executive at Northstone, said: “Winning the ultimate North West Residential Property Awards was a huge coup and a big moment for our team. Whilst it’s always nice to win awards and soak up the glitz of a ceremony, this one as ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ meant so much to us.

“We’ve spent the last three years with a clear focus and vision; designing and developing what makes a unique Northstone home that stands true to our business ethos.  We’ve carefully considered how we encourage new communities, what modern luxury living looks like and how every aspect of what we do differentiates and evolves the thinking and perception of new homes. That takes a lot of painstaking work before you even get on site and a big team effort, and we are delighted that we can now offer this award-winning proposition to Barrowford.

“Winning ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ is fantastic recognition that it was all worth it and testament to every hour our team and our partners have put in with the first Northstone developments like Keld.  It was very special to me and for the team we’ve built. I’m proud and so are they.”

Situated just off Barrowford Road, Keld comprises two, three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £275,000. Complete with pedestrian-led streets for safer communities, flexible ground floor layouts and large gardens, each of the 239 properties have been intuitively planned.  Subject to build stage, potential purchasers can choose the exact specification of the ground floor layout to suit their individual needs.
