Storio Group Embarks on a Strategic Transformation with a New Brand and Leadership to Propel Growth

Formerly known as albelli-Photobox Group, the conglomerate behind Photobox UK and Bonusprint, has rebranded itself as Storio group, a significant move in the European market for personalised photo products. Boasting impressive consolidated revenues of over EUR 340M and serving a loyal customer base of more than 11 million, this rebranding is accompanied by a crucial change in leadership, with Alessandro Coppo succeeding Tristan Money as CEO on the 8th of February, 2024. This change is integral to a two-year strategic plan post-merger, aimed at driving integration, fostering innovation, and propelling growth.

The landmark announcements were made during a vibrant internal launch event, simultaneously broadcast live from Amsterdam, London, and Barcelona, uniting employees from across Europe in a singular, virtual celebration. This event marked the commencement of a promising new era for Storio group, celebrated across all its locations.

Tristan Money handed over leadership to Alessandro Coppo after a notable nine-year leadership period, during which he played a pivotal role in the successful merger with Photobox in January 2022.

Alessandro Coppo, armed with over 25 years of industry experience, including significant tenures at Boston Consulting Group and eBay, has been chosen to steer Storio group towards a bright future. His remarkable journey at eBay, leading the Classifieds Group from revenues of $300M to beyond $1B, underscores his strategic prowess in utilising technology to connect people and create engaging, safe commerce experiences. This background aligns perfectly with Storio group’s vision and goals.

As the new CEO, Alessandro is committed to building upon the solid foundation laid by Tristan and the team, aiming to establish Storio group as a distinguished and beloved brand dedicated to connecting individuals with their most cherished moments.

The transition to Storio group signifies the organisation’s growth and its continued pledge to deliver memorable experiences. This rebranding represents a renewed commitment to innovation and development in the sector, encapsulated in the newly crafted mission statement, “To Make Joy Unforgettable,” which reflects the company’s ambition to immortalise customer memories.

Upon his appointment, Alessandro Coppo expressed his excitement, “It’s a thrilling time to lead a company that sits at the intersection of digital and physical realms and whose products have a deep level of emotional connection with its customers. Our commitment to innovation and personal connection is unique, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation laid by Tristan and the team. Our new brand identity and values will be central to our commitment to customers and employees.”

Alessandro Coppo – Chief Executive Officer

Reflecting on the changes, Tristan Money stated, “The launch of Storio group and the welcoming of Alessandro Coppo as CEO, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Since the merger of albelli and Photobox Group 2 years ago, we have worked diligently to integrate our operations and set a clear path for the future. Alessandro’s experience and vision align perfectly with Storio group’s mission, vision, purpose, values, and proposition.”

With its rejuvenated branding and visionary leadership, Storio group is poised to reinforce its market presence, introducing cutting-edge solutions to enhance customer experiences and stimulate growth, aligned with its refreshed values and EVP.
