Aston Martin will announce on Tuesday that Red Bull Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey is joining them on a five-year contract from 2025, according to a report.
The revered designed will earn up to a possible £30 million a year as part of the deal, BBC Sport has said.
The outlet has reported that Aston Martin will confirm the development at a news conference at their Silverstone base, with Newey starting in early March.
Newey’s manager, Eddie Jordan, refused to provide a comment when approached by BBC Sport, who quoted an Aston Martin spokesperson as saying: “Adrian has been linked to many teams and would be an asset to any team, but we don’t have anything to announce.”

Newey: Aston Martin ‘convincing’
The 65-year-old has helped mastermind seven F1 drivers’ championships and six constructors’ titles since joining Red Bull in 2005.
He has said he plans to take a break from the sport but has been heavily linked with Ferrari or Aston Martin.
Last month, Autosprint reported that Aston Martin boss Lawrence Stroll’s “winning vision” and “billion-dollar investment” had been the decisive factors in Newey agreeing to join his team.
“Newey has convinced himself that Stroll’s medium-to-long term plan to win the world championship is solid and concrete,” the report added.

Newey Red Bull record
Red Bull have dominated F1 in recent years, including Max Verstappen’s remarkable feat of 19 wins in 22 races last season, with the team triumphing in all but one outing.
Newey was also behind Sebastian Vettel winning four consecutive titles between 2010 and 2014 and contributed to multiple title wins at Williams between 1991 and 1996 and McLaren from 1997 until 2005.
“Ever since I was a young boy, I wanted to be a designer of fast cars,” Newey said when he revealed his Red Bull exit.
“My dream was to be an engineer in Formula One and I’ve been lucky enough to make that dream a reality.
“I feel now is an opportune moment to hand [the] baton over to others and to seek new challenges for myself.”
