Nudie Jeans has officially welcomed customers to its newest Repair Shop, opening its doors today in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
This is the brand’s first UK store beyond London, marking an exciting new chapter for Nudie Jeans as it brings its vision of sustainable denim and community connection to the North.
“Investing in physical retail is a natural next step for us. We’re expanding our global presence with several new store openings this year—each one designed to bring our values to life and connect more deeply with our communities,” said Joakim Levin, Co-Founder & CEO, Nudie Jeans.
At a time when many interactions happen digitally, Nudie Jeans is reasserting the value of physical presence. The new shop will serve not just as a retail space, but as a cultural venue—hosting music sets, creative sessions, and meaningful conversations with the local community.
Staying true to its mission, the Manchester store offers more than just jeans. It provides free lifelong repairs, Re-Use denim collections, and rewards customers with a 20% discount when they trade in their worn-out Nudies. It’s a place where fashion meets purpose.
“The physical space is essential to what we do. Each store is an extension of our denim kiosk concept—local, personal, small but mighty, and deeply rooted in its environment. We don’t just move in; we adapt, collaborate, and create something that fits the community it serves,” said Martin Gustavsson, CCO of Nudie Jeans.
The brand has affectionately coined the term “Mancnudians” for its new customer base, celebrating the spirit of Manchester and the strong local pride that aligns with Nudie Jeans’ community ethos.
Even with record-breaking online performance in 2024, Nudie Jeans sees local stores as a powerful lever in reducing its environmental impact. Stores like Manchester’s serve as distribution hubs—minimising international shipping and cutting carbon emissions.
Beyond sustainability, the store creates a space for people to find their perfect fit in real life. Trying on jeans, feeling the fabric, and getting the right size—all help reduce returns and support more conscious buying habits.
Manchester’s cultural heritage—industrial grit, music legends, and creative spirit—has long resonated with Nudie Jeans. Now, that influence becomes a living, local presence.
